Part of the Japanese trio's appeal lies in its mutated regurgitation of American and British pop culture: The highlight of 's Let's Knife, the group's first widely available domestic release, was "Tortoise Brand Pot Scrubbing Cleaner's Theme," which appeared in two /5(12).

To say it's pop music probably isn't fair, but to say it's catchy really is. This CD contains Shonen Knife's first two albums, which is definitely a fine place to start listening to the band. If you're a fan of the simplicity of Beat Happening and enjoy a little Ramones buzzsaw guitar, then these two albums /5(4).
